From Chapati to Tacos
Welcome to your weekly update from the “cave.” Only a week into the actual editing process, the film crew has cranked out almost all of our required rough cuts for CSDW. These 60-90 second shorts range in topic from Children as Educators to Women as Heroes, showing how clean water plays a role in so many people’s lives. After many long days (and nights) at the office, the “cave” has become our second home.
One of the only times we leave the editing bay during the day is to break for food, which brings me to the crux of today’s blog post: comparing food across the globe! YUM!
As an avid fan of the Food Network (& of eating!), I feel like I have a pretty sizeable appreciation for food. Food is the heart of so many cultures. Tanzania has its mixture of Indian and African food and Austin has its TexMex. Here are just two examples of these wonderfully delicious dishes!

Traditional African meal (from left to right): Macande, Sweet Potato, Pilau, Ugali, Pumpkin Leaves, Cabbage, Avacado, Chapati, and Beef and Banana Stew

Austin local favorite: Torchy’s Tacos – Pictured here: Fried Avocado Taco with lettuce, tomato and cheese!
